Stage Objectives

O1) Driver must complete 1) Qualification, 2) Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (if available to the Stage) and 3) Race, in that order, to complete the Stage

O2) Driver must log their Fastest Lap Time (FLT) for 1) Qualification, 2) Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (if available) and 3) Race, which must then be totalled after the Stage is complete, to establish their Sub-total Lap Time (SLT)

O3) Penalty Seconds from violations, if any, by the Driver as recorded by Race Control for the Stage (prior, during, or post that Stage) must be added to the SLT and for Race, any applicable Chequered Flag Position (CFP) time must deducted from the SLT,  to establish their Total Lap Time (TLT)

O4) Driver with the ‘lowest’ TLT is awarded Position 1 (P1) with 10 points. Driver with next ‘lowest’ TLT is awarded Position 2 (P2) with 6 points, and Driver with next ‘lowest’ TLT is awarded Position 3 (P3) with 4 points. Driver in P1 is the Stage Winner, followed by Driver in P2, followed by Driver in P3

O5) Any points awarded for Chequered Flag Position (CFP) in the Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (if available to the Stage) must be added to the Driver points in O4)

Race Control

C1) Responsibility of Race Control must be assigned to a non-competing person (or persons) to enforce the Race Regulations for the Stage, who must be active and present in the 1) Briefing, 2) Free Practice, 3) Qualification, 4) Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (if available to the Stage), 5) Race, 6) Chequered Flag and 7) Podium events of that Stage

C2) Race Control must send a Race Bulletin to every Driver participating in the Stage, prior to its start of 1) Free Practice and/or 2) Qualification, and must consist of the Stage Circuit, Stage Date, Stage Start Time (in UK Time), Stage Briefing Location and Time (in UK Time), and Stage Configuration, e.g. Free Practice, Qualification, Sprint, Race, etc.

C3) Race Control must apply the same Track per Driver throughout Stage, i.e. 1) Free Practice, 2) Qualification, 3) Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (if available to the Stage) and/or 4) Race

C4) Race Control must lock F1 202x Rules and Flags, Simulation Settings and Weather and Time of Day ahead at the start of the Stage, and must apply the same locked F1 202x Rules and Flags, Simulation Settings and Weather and Time of Day for every Driver of that Stage

C5) Race Control must give 0.5 Penalty Second to a Driver for every Race Regulation they violate but no more than a maximum of 2 Penalty Seconds per 1) Free Practice, 2) Qualification, 3) Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (if available to the Stage) and/or 4) Race

C6) Race Control must give a maximum of 3 Penalty Seconds to a Driver who fails to attend a Briefing (scheduled as per Race Bulletin), and/or participate in 1) Qualification, 2) Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (if available to the Stage) and/or 3) Race, and/or fails to attend a Podium event (if are eligible)

C7) Race Control may give 0.5 Penalty Second to a Driver for failing to comply with any instruction from Race Control, or for every instance when the Driver is the cause of any disruption, conflict, delay, poor sporting spirit or disharmony

C8) Race Log, submitted and/or approved by Race Control, of Fastest Lap Time, Penalty Seconds and Total Lap Time is deemed final and cannot be appealed, retracted, or overturned, except when Race Control decides upon an Investigation

C9) A Driver may petition Race Control for a reason for Investigation. Race Control reserves the right to hear or decline the reason. An Investigation, when approved by Race Control, requires participation of one person from Race Control, an independent non-competing Driver person, at least two competing Drivers, and the petitioning Driver. Race Control is ‘Chair’ and a single ‘Yes or No’ Motion must be set by the Driver after the Investigation is complete. The majority vote for the ‘Yes or No’ Motion determines the Investigation outcome, is deemed final and must be fulfilled within 48 hours. The petitioning Driver may not petition again for the same Stage

Free Practice (FP)

Duration = 30 Minutes

FP1) Driver must initiate Free Practice as per Stage date and time stated in the related Race Bulletin, per direction of Race Control, whilst throughout Free Practice be in a physically and mentally fit and stable state, wearing proper and clean racing attire only including racing gloves, principal team logo upper clothing, with a clean and hygienic appearance conducive to healthy and fair racing

FP2) Driver can set F1 202x Assists as required for the Free Practice

FP3) Driver cannot Pause, Restart or Quit Session

FP4) Driver must start the Free Practice from Garage/Pit, and finish at Garage/Pit

FP5) Driver must complete at least 1x Out Lap and 4x Practice Lap within a duration of 30 minutes, without break

Workflow

  • Command: Solo > Grand Prix > Create New > F1 202x > [Select Track] > Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team > [Select Driver]
  • Assists: [Set according to Driver capabilities]
  • Weekend Structure:
    • Weekend Structure > Standard
    • Practice Format > Single Session
    • Qualifying Format > Short (Not Used)
    • Session Length > Medium (Not Used)
  • Weather and Time of Day: [As per Race Bulletin and locked by Race Control]
  • Command: Simulation Settings (AI Difficulty, etc.): [As per Race Bulletin and locked by Race Control]
  • Command: Start Event
  • Command: Car Setup (select and confirm SRS preset for track)
  • Command: Go to Track > Drive Out
  • Command: Camera (X) = Cockpit or TV Pod
  • Drive: Minimum 4x Laps or maximum 30 minutes session, then Garage/Pit,
  • Command: Box This Lap
  • Command: Session Info
  • Log: 0.5 Penalty Seconds per Rule violated during Free Practice and no more than a maximum 2 Penalty Seconds
  • Command (for next Driver): Options > Restart Session
  • Command (to start Qualification): Options > Quit to Main Menu
Qualification

Duration = Typically 18 minutes

Q1) Driver must initiate Qualification as per Stage date and time stated in the related Race Bulletin, per direction of Race Control, whilst throughout Free Practice be in a physically and mentally fit and stable state, wearing proper and clean racing attire only including racing gloves, principal team logo upper clothing, with a clean and hygienic appearance conducive to healthy and fair racing

Q2) Driver must submit a Driver Check before starting Qualification

Q3) Driver can set F1 202x Assists as required for Qualification (but may not alter Assist(s) set in the Race Bulletin and/or Stage Configuration, if any)

Q4) Driver cannot Pause or Quit Session, but is allowed to Restart Session once if they Did Not Finish (DNF) or crashed with Terminal Damage to their car

Q5) Driver must start Qualification from Garage/Pit, and finish at Garage/Pit

Q6) Driver must log Fastest Lap Time with Race Control after completing Qualification

Q7) Driver must Advance from Qualification to Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (if available to the Stage) or Race, without break

Workflow

  • Command: Press Create button on Console Controller > Broadcast > (Change Service) > Twitch > Go Live
  • Command: Solo > Grand Prix > Create New > F1 202x > [Select Track] > Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team > [Select Driver]
  • Assists: [Set according to Driver capabilities]
  • Weekend Structure:
    • Weekend Structure > Standard for Qualification and Race only, or Sprint & Race for Qualification, Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (if available to the Stage) and Race

  • Drive: At least 4x laps within Qualification duration from Garage/Pit to Garage/Pit
  • Race Log: Race Control to ADD the Fastest Lap Time (from Results Table) to Race Log for Qualification, plus any 0.5 Penalty Seconds per Rule violated during Qualification and no more than a maximum 2 Penalty Seconds. If Driver fails to complete the Qualification (DNF), the Fastest Lap Time logged by the Driver with the slowest time for Qualification after it is completed, must be logged for Qualification plus 3 Penalty Seconds (plus any other Penalty Seconds accumulated in Qualification) – this then becomes the Sub-total Lap Time to log for Qualification
  • Command: Advance (from OSQ Table) to Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (if available to the Stage), else Race, without break
Sprint / Quickfire Sprint

Laps = Typically 5 to 6

S1) Driver must have submitted a Driver Check for Qualification before starting Sprint / Quickfire Sprint, whilst throughout Sprint / Quickfire Sprint be in a physically and mentally fit and stable state, wearing proper and clean racing attire only including racing gloves, principal team logo upper clothing, with a clean and hygienic appearance conducive to healthy and fair racing

S2) Driver can set F1 202x Assists as required for Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (but may not alter Assist(s) set in the Race Bulletin and/or Stage Configuration, if any)

S3) Driver cannot Pause or Quit Session, but is allowed to Restart Session once and during Lap 1 only

S4) Driver must start Sprint / Quickfire Sprint from Starting Grid, and finish at Chequered Flag

S5) Driver must log Fastest Lap Time with Race Control after completing Sprint / Quickfire Sprint

S6) Driver must Advance from Sprint / Quickfire Sprint to Race, without break

Workflow

  • Command: Race Strategy (select Default or Alternative strategy)
  • Command: Start Sprint
  • Command: Camera (X) = Cockpit or TV Pod
  • Drive: Stated Laps from Starting Grid to Chequered Flag
  • Race Log: Race Control to ADD the Fastest Lap Time (from Results Table) to Race Log for Sprint / Quickfire Sprint, plus any 0.5 Penalty Seconds per Rule violated during Sprint / Quickfire Sprint and no more than a maximum 2 Penalty Seconds. If the Driver fails to complete Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (DNF), the Fastest Lap Time logged by the Driver with the slowest time for Sprint / Quickfire Sprint after it is completed, must be logged  plus 3 Penalty Seconds (plus any other Penalty Seconds accumulated) – this then becomes the Sub-total Lap Time to log for Sprint / Quickfire Sprint
  • Update: If Driver finishes in the below Chequered Flag Position (CFP) in Sprint / Quickfire Sprint then Race Control to add CFP Points to Stage Results after Driver completes Stage

Race

Laps (25% of full circuit laps) = Typically 16 Laps

R1) Driver must have submitted a Driver Check for Qualification before starting Race, whilst throughout Race be in a physically and mentally fit and stable state, wearing proper and clean racing attire only including racing gloves, principal team logo upper clothing, with a clean and hygienic appearance conducive to healthy and fair racing

R2) Driver can set F1 202x Assists as required for Race (but may not alter Assist(s) set in the Race Bulletin and/or Stage Configuration, if any)

R3) Driver cannot Pause or Quit Session, but is allowed to Restart Session once and during Lap 1 only

R4) Driver must start the Race from Starting Grid, and finish at Chequered Flag

R5) Driver must log Fastest Lap Time with Race Control after completing Race

Workflow

  • Command: Camera (X) = Cockpit or TV Pod
  • Drive: Stated laps from Starting Grid to Chequered Flag
  • Command: (TBC – Start Broadcast to Twitch)
  • Update: If Driver finishes Race in the below Chequered Flag Position (CFP) then Race Control to subtract CFP Time from Fastest Lap Time (from Results Table). This then becomes the new Fastest Lap Time

  • Race Log: Race Control to ADD the Fastest Lap Time to Race Log for Race, plus any 0.5 Penalty Seconds per Rule violated during Race and no more than a maximum 2 Penalty Seconds. If the Driver fails to complete Race (DNF), the Fastest Lap Time logged by the Driver with the slowest time for Race after it is completed, must be logged  plus 3 Penalty Seconds (plus any other Penalty Seconds accumulated) – this then becomes the Sub-total Lap Time to log for Race
  • Command (for next Driver): Advance, Options > Quit to Main Menu – and restart Qualification for next Driver
  • Update: Race Control to ADD the Sub-total Lap Time logged for Qualification, Sprint / Quickfire Sprint (if applicable to the Stage) and Race, to establish the Driver’s Total Lap Time for the Stage, then ADD the Total Lap Time and Points to Stage Results for all Drivers of the Stage
Test Drive

Duration = 60 Minutes (maximum)

TD1) Driver must initiate Test Drive as per date and time stated in the related Race Bulletin from Race Control (who do not have to be present), and must complete a Driver Check before starting Test Drive

TD2) Driver can Test Drive for up to a one hour duration but cannot run partial sessions outside the hour

TD3) Driver must not exceed one hour limitation of Test Drive

TD4) Driver must only use Time Trial mode during Test Drive

TD5) Driver must select the next Track in the Season, select Dry or Wet, and is advised to load the SRS preset matching the Track

TD6) Driver can only set F1 202x Assists as preferred for Test Drive, but must not adjust any other Settings

TD7) Driver must only use the Camera view of Cockpit or TV Pod during Test Drive

TD8) Driver can Pause or Quit Session, but is not allowed to do Flashback or Restart Session

TD9) Driver must finish Test Drive at the Garage/Pit

TD10) Driver must not adjust, delete, or overwrite any other settings or software configuration
